Dr. William Klindt began his practice in Los Gatos over 20 years ago in order to offer best in class treatment using an integrative approach to mental health treatment. He works with a multidisciplinary team of professionals to provide truly comprehensive treatment to all patients that is accessible, best in class, and highly personalized.  Clear Minds is founded on three pillars: an Integrative Treatment Approach , the Collaborative Care Model, and providing a Total Quality Patient Experience.

Dr. Klindt has been practicing medicine for over 20 years, serving children, adolescents, and young adults coping with mental health issues. His mission is to provide compassionate, person-centered care to his patients. Dr. Klindt offers a breadth of knowledge and experience to the field of psychiatry with specialized training and experience in child and adolescent psychiatry, integrative psychiatry, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Brain SPECT Imaging. He is affiliated with the Christian Counseling Center in San Jose. He also works closely with Dr. Daniel Amen's Clinic in providing SPECT referrals, interpreting scans, and developing treatment plans based on the SPECT results. He believes in treating the whole person, taking into account lifestyle, nutrition, family dynamics, spirituality, emotional issues, social engagement, as well as neuro-biological factors. 

 

William C. Klindt, M.D. was born and raised in Los Gatos, California.  After graduating from Los Gatos High School, Dr. Klindt completed a degree in Psychology at University of California at Berkeley and did advanced studies in the Bio Medical Sciences, Philosophy and Symbolic Logic at San Jose State University. 

 

Dr. Klindt then received his medical training in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the Oral Roberts University School of Medicine and returned to California for Internship and Residency training in Psychiatry at University of California at San Francisco.  He completed a two-year Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Stanford University.  In addition to his interest and expertise in Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatry, Dr. Klindt also obtained advanced training experience in Brain SPECT Imaging.  He is one of only a handful of psychiatrists in the world to be qualified and licensed to perform and interpret Brain SPECT imaging as it applies to Psychiatry.

 

Dr. Klindt has been in private practice in San Jose, California for 20 years.  Prior to opening his private practice, Dr. Klindt worked at the Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Department at the Santa Clara Kaiser Permanente Medical Center.  Dr. Klindt served as the Acting Chief of the Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Department while at Kaiser Hospital.

 

Currently Dr. Klindt is a Board Certified Psychiatrist specializing in Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatry.  He has a very busy practice providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for children, adolescents and adults.  He treats all psychiatric conditions that affect children, teens and adults including Attention Deficit Disorder, Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Depression, Bipolar Disorders and Post Traumatic Stress Disorders.  Dr. Klindt speaks and lectures extensively on topics relating to brain function, such as “The Effects of Drugs & Alcohol on the Teenage Brain” as well as topics relating to Attention Deficit Disorders and Brain SPECT imaging.   He is actively participating in supervising and training Interns and Post Doctorate Fellows.

Dr. Klindt is happily married and has 3 adult children. He loves spending time outdoors, hiking, mountain biking, and in the quiet of the redwoods. Dr. Klindt also enjoys getting into new hobbies, is an avid reader, and enjoys painting and gardening during his down time. 

Rajan Christian, LMFT, DMFT(c)

Rajan Christian completed his degree in Psychology from the University of California at Riverside. After spending a decade in the field of human resources in both the private and public sector, Rajan felt called towards the field of mental health treatment. Rajan completed his Masters Degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy at Chapman University. He pursued a Doctoral Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Loma Linda University, where he is presently a doctoral candidate.

 

Rajan has over 10 years of experience working with children, families, and adults in a variety of settings. His experience includes providing individual and family therapy at a dual diagnosis program for youth, serving as a psychiatric emergency team clinical therapist for over 8 years in San Bernardino County, and serving as a lead therapist in a special education program with youth with significant mental health issues. Rajan also serves as a clinical director at a inpatient psychiatric hospital where he provides supervision for 13 mental health counselors and activity therapists. 

 

Rajan specializes in working with adolescents, young adults, couples, and families. He addresses relational issues, family conflicts, depression, suicidality, underachievement, "failure to launch" issues, and lack of meaning or purpose in life. Rajan has specialty training in EMDR, the Trauma Resilience Model and has earned a certificate in Christian-based counseling.

Stephanie Klindt, LMFT

Stephanie's experience includes working with children and families as a teacher, therapist, and behavior coach in county, non-profit, and private practice settings. She spent eight years in Southern California gaining valuable experience working with a diverse range of individuals and families before returning home to the Bay Area in 2014.

 

Stephanie completed her undergraduate degree at Point Loma Nazarene University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Child Development and Psychology. She completed her Masters Degree in Psychology: Marriage and Family Therapy at Loma Linda University's School of Behavioral Health. Her experience includes serving as an early childhood educator, clinical therapist in a large county clinic where she worked with children, families, and adults with severe mental health issues, as a crisis response therapist in San Bernardino County, in a non-profit school and home based therapy program with youth and families, and as an in-home coach at a private practice focused on teens and families. She was a recipient of the State of California Mental Health Services Act stipend award giving her the opportunity to receive extensive experience and training in her both her traineeship and internship. 

 

Stephanie has additional training in the Trauma Resilience Model (TRM). She also holds a certificate as a Human Trafficking/Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence Advocate Counselor. Stephanie has worked with youth and families with severe trauma, substance abuse issues, family conflict, suicidality and issues with self-harm. Her special areas of interest include working with girls ages 11 to 25 on issues of self-esteem, depression, anxiety, peer-relation issues, family conflict, healthy relationship boundaries, identity development, and issues with mood regulation and trauma. Her passion is developing creative, approachable ways for families to learn better ways of connecting and growing together. She often incorporates various art forms into her work.

Stephanie also provides case management and has extensive knowledge of local mental health and substance abuse resources in the Bay Area and greater California. She is connected to a large network of specialty clinicians allowing her to better serve her clients and families by pairing them with the most appropriate programs when needed. She serves as a volunteer advocate at the YWCA Silicon Valley, is a Board Member of the Eating Disorder Resource Center in Los Gatos, and serves as Co-Chair for the Women in Addiction Treatment San Jose chapter (WAAT).

Darci Morris, ACSW

Darci Morris received her Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from San Diego State University and her Masters Degree in Social Work from San Jose State University. She also received education in social work at the University of Maryland School of Social Work. Darci is an Associate Clinical Social Worker under the supervision of Dr. William Klindt. Darci is passionate about whole person care and incorporates her personal experience with fitness and nature therapy into her work with clients. She believes getting out on the trail, surrounding yourself with beauty, and moving is healing and rejuvenating.  In addition to seeing clients in private practice, Darci developed a program called "Life Hikes" where she leads individuals in group hikes focused on topics such as grief & loss, self-growth, empowerment, and works with survivors of sexual abuse. Darci is currently in the the process of being trained as a Somatic Eco-therapist, which focuses on incorporating the healing aspects of movement, somatic therapy, and nature-based therapy into the treatment of issues such as anxiety and depression, trauma, and substance abuse.

Darci enjoys working with clients who have experienced trauma, are coping with grief & loss, and with issues such as depression and anxiety. Darci also focuses on life-stage transitions including issues around death & dying, as well as "empty-nest" transitions and re-defining one's meaning and purpose. Darci is compassionate, approachable, and comes from a trauma-informed background. Darci is also trained as a sexual assault/domestic violence counselor. In addition to meeting with clients in the office and depending on her client's needs, she also works with clients outside of the traditional office space, using her background in hiking in her individual work.
