            What is Integrative Psychiatry?

Integrative psychiatry is a holistic approach that uses both conventional and complementary therapies in the treatment of psychiatric disorders. Personalized treatments are developed to suit each person's lifestyle and strengthen self-awareness and resources for self-care. As a treatment option, we offer alternative treatments including supplements and natural treatment options for any necessary dietary and/or lifestyle issues that are apparent, including treatment options for several psychiatric conditions such as Attention Deficit Disorder, Depression, Anxiety, Insomnia, Lack of Energy and Motivation, Panic Disorders, Stress and Over-Activity, Mood Stability, Improving Focus and Concentration, and Improving Memory. Many patients seek holistic treatment in addition to their traditional treatment plan as well.

Our team's medical expertise during the evaluation process will include a discussion regarding healthy eating, the importance of protein, vitamins and minerals that affect behavior and emotional problems, and the vitamins that will meet the patient's specific needs. Dr. Klindt has trialed many supplements and various brand names himself to give you the best information possible. Our doctors are personally dedicated to assist their patients in maintaining overall medical, emotional and nutritional health and putting entire families on a better path to health and wellness, as well as providing early diagnostic information to support better preventative interventions.

Our team will also evaluate lifestyle habits, social factors, family support, spirituality, in addition to neuro-biological factors  as part of the evaluation and treatment planning process. We believe outcomes are best when treatment is individualized and addresses multiple domains of the patient's life. For example, research shows that the best outcomes for disorders such as depression are found when the patient is engaged in psychotherapy in addition to psychiatric care. We evaluate each patient as a whole person and develop treatment plans that may include additional recommendations such as exercise, individual or family therapy, EMDR, TMS, massage therapy, or other treatment modalities.
